Born in 2026 from a shared passion for chess - growing fast in the heart of Aylesbury.
Fuelled by passion, driven by love of the game
It started with an obsession. In 2026, a small group of friends found themselves utterly captivated by chess - staying up too late, thinking in positions, dreaming of openings. They didn't just want to play; they needed to play. Aylesbury Community Chess Club was born not from a committee decision, but from pure, unstoppable passion.
That spark has grown into something extraordinary. Today, 25+ members - young and old, beginner and master - gather every Friday not because they have to, but because chess gets into your blood and never lets go. Every handshake before a game, every silent concentration over the board, every hard-won victory and gracious defeat - this is what we live for.
But beyond results and rankings, our true mission is simple: to share this magnificent game with everyone in our community, and to ignite in others the same fire that brought us all together.
